Les Gekkota, Gekkototiens, Gekkotiens ou geckos ([ʒeko], « jé-ko »), forment un infra-ordre de reptiles dont on rencontre les espèces dans de très nombreux pays. Ce nom provient du malais « Gekoq », qui est une onomatopée correspondant au cri d'un gecko indonésien (). Les geckos sont également qualifiés de lézards, terme qui regroupe en réalité de nombreux squamates. Dans certains pays, ces animaux sont considérés comme sacrés et portent bonheur.
