John Napier (/ˈneɪpiər/), parfois francisé en Jean Neper, né le 1er février 1550 et mort le 4 avril 1617, est un théologien, physicien, astronome et mathématicien écossais. En 1614, il publie son traité Mirifici Logarithmorum Canonis Descriptio.
