Kevin Edward Trenberth est un climatologue néo-zélandais et naturalisé américain qui a travaillé au sein de la section d'analyse climatique du Centre national américain de recherche atmosphérique (NCAR). Il a été l'un des principaux auteurs des rapports d'évaluation du GIEC de 1995, 2001 et 2007.
